yesterday i attempted to open stem but it flagged as quarantined by widows, so i uninstalled it. now whenever i try to launch it, it says it can't run on this pc. to locate a compatible version from the publisher, i have uninstalled and downloaded the newest installer several times, but it still won't open.

i just checked steam on win 11 but it didn’t work. i tried compatibility mode in win 8, but windows refuses to let me open it. i’m worried i might have to reinstall windows and, for some reason, can’t use my restore point because i’ve backed up the whole disk.

I adjusted the installation by transferring the system folder from another PC. It functioned temporarily, but after rebooting it became confused over permissions. I corrected the permissions table, and it’s now working properly. Keep in mind that since your games are on separate drives, you may need to manually move them if needed.
