I could share my game files with you if you place them in your Steam folder, but then you'd also need to download them yourself. It’s better to create a backup of PUBG instead. I’ve had to save this game three times already. The reason isn’t clear to me.

Create a backup of the downloaded files. After saving them, move the copies to a flash drive or USB stick and store it in a drawer with a label. This prevents overwriting. If needed, you’ll already have the software ready. Good luck!

The game directory needs roughly 13GB, not 6GB. If your size is only 6GB, files might be missing. In the Steam list, right-click PUBG and open its properties. Select "Verify Game Files" so Steam can inspect and confirm all assets are intact. Any corruption during download could cause issues. Do you have Steam configured to automatically fetch updates for PUBG? If not set to auto-update, launching a game that needs an update will pause until the new files are downloaded and installed. You’ll need to wait until the process finishes before playing. Recent major patches often require around 6-7GB, which should be sufficient for about a week before the next 6-7GB update is released.

Avoid pushing your hardware to its limits... Consider replacing your hard drive if it seems to be failing. I've never adjusted Steam settings for offline games before.

I've restored Company of Heroes 2 multiple times. DOOM also required a re-download, possibly due to my backup being from before Denuvo was removed.

The only instance I experienced this was with Final Fantasy XIV, though they altered the Name/Install Folder which was the cause. Between Final Fantasy XIV - A Realm Reborn and Final Fantasy XIV - Online, nothing similar occurred.
