Hello! I’d like to try this game on my iMac. Here are some details you might need: Apple iMac 12.1/i5-2400S, 8GB RAM, 500GB HDD, DVD-RW, 21". Can it run it? What is the purpose of that COD DVD? You can find it on Amazon UK! Thank you!

I don't believe the Disc version is compatible with Mac. You'll likely need to obtain it digitally through the Mac OS Steam client, but I can confirm it probably won't perform well even at the lowest settings based on your iMac's resolution. It might not be worth a shot.

When you download Steam for Mac, you can explore all the available titles there and even look for shooter games specifically. Since I don’t play on a Mac and it doesn’t support many of them, it mainly depends on what’s available for your iMac.

All the Disc is intended to be downloaded via Steam. Playing PC and Mac games no longer just starts automatically; you usually need to activate them through Steam or the game client the company uses, which requires a digital download. It's simpler and often more effective to use Steam directly.

I'm going to search eBay for a disc and will let them know if it's a disc.

Sure, just follow the instructions without paying attention to others. Just install Steam, pick the game, pay, and download. You won’t have to wait for shipping or anything, and in most cases the games are cheaper on Steam too. You might still need to do it when you get the disc, but it’s fine if it works on your Mac—though it won’t because not all PC games on discs are compatible with Mac. Just do what you want.

The listed Call of Duty titles are compatible with an iMac matching your specifications, but obtaining a genuine mac version comes at a higher cost. Similar games on Steam can be installed more quickly and affordably today.

Different mac user here.
I'm interested in trying CSGO after watching it often. Is it something new for beginners? It looks like you enter, and it's mostly about multiplayer, right? You might face tough opponents from top players?
