Steam or DVD video games on MacOS.
I don't believe the Disc version is compatible with Mac. You'll likely need to obtain it digitally through the Mac OS Steam client, but I can confirm it probably won't perform well even at the lowest settings based on your iMac's resolution. It might not be worth a shot.
All the Disc is intended to be downloaded via Steam. Playing PC and Mac games no longer just starts automatically; you usually need to activate them through Steam or the game client the company uses, which requires a digital download. It's simpler and often more effective to use Steam directly.
Sure, just follow the instructions without paying attention to others. Just install Steam, pick the game, pay, and download. You won’t have to wait for shipping or anything, and in most cases the games are cheaper on Steam too. You might still need to do it when you get the disc, but it’s fine if it works on your Mac—though it won’t because not all PC games on discs are compatible with Mac. Just do what you want.
