I frequently play CSGO and trade often. Today while reviewing my profile, I noticed something. Clicking the "Please click here" button redirects you to this page. Now you'll need to provide all the details before proceeding, no further trading or selling will happen.

They don’t want you handling cash laundering. That’s why PayPal or your bank asks for details—they’re likely trying to collect taxes on large amounts of money.

ffs, the fees apply to selling items on the market, not just trading. You're limited to 200 items each year, and this limit resets at the beginning of the year. To sell more than that, you might need to provide personal information like your SSN or other documents depending on your country. In other places, you'll need your ZIP code, birth certificate, or address. Just avoid those low-value skins that take up your listing space.

I anticipated it as well, the main concern is now the risk of others being compromised. They might easily obtain all your details.

People are likely to need to use stronger passwords instead of simple ones like "123456"

Occasionally data gets exposed despite strong passwords, such as with Sony and Target.
