Before starting the fresh installation, I saved the games from Steam. Now I'm attempting to restore them, but nothing seems to work. I left it all night to check for changes and this morning the progress screen stayed blank. Have others experienced this? Am I doing something incorrect?

I haven't utilized Steam's backup option before. I just transfer my libraries to another drive and restore them afterward after reformatting or add the new spot in Steam Library.

I attempted to adjust some configurations, but I'm not sure. Usually I just paste my data now, and I haven't encountered this issue before.

Just for clarification, did you use Steams backup "feature" or did you back it up yourself, aka simple copied/moved the game folders somewhere ? For the latter i know the solution and it's pretty simple, for the former i dont know unfortunately, id need to see a screenshot of the files first (to see if i get an idea and if they're encrypted in any way etc) edit: ok that looks like you're using steams backup feature... as said, id need to see the folders / files to get an idea (not of all games, but a few of them for sure)

I relied on the Steam backup option. What makes sense is trying to restore it if I already had all files elsewhere?!?!? In short, once saves aren't uploaded to the cloud, the backup won't work. Even if this feature functions, it won't achieve what I need—restoring my saves in the "documents" folder. I was attempting to save my ACC configurations, but it seems I'd have to rebuild the car from scratch in about two to three months.
