I don't understand exactly, but I'm certain it was an issue on Steam, likely because it has the biggest user base. If you're referring to Apex, I assume you meant Origin, since Apex is the first free-to-play game EA ever released, and most of Origin's users have already bought there. I've also received unsolicited invites from random people on that platform.
