Is it a native Steam installation? Which titles are being added? Have you updated your GPU drivers?

The system is configured to generate a log file when using PROTON_LOG=1. Uploading that file to your home directory is required. Launching a game from a terminal without Steam appears to trigger no errors.

You likely must add the particular drivers for your graphics card to enable game functionality.
