along with determining the solution, proper capitalization matters (and is standard): m equals milli, which is 1/1000 M equals mega, which is 1000000 b equals bit equals 1/8 byte b equals byte equals 8 bits. You're measuring megabits per second, i.e., Mb/s, and megabytes per second, i.e., MB/s.
