I own a USB-C hub and an NVMe SSD. My Steam Deck isn't getting enough power from the hub to run the SSD properly. Anyone have suggestions on how to fix this, or should I just rely on plugging it into a wall? The hub link is here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07M6C6XWM and the SSD link is here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08RK2SR23.

You might prefer a USB-C hub with power. It’s more expensive but includes a charging adapter.

I can connect using the USBC cable, but I’m considering options that are a bit lighter and more mobile since I wanted a USB hub with an NVMe SSD adapter.

You might also consider a NVMe storage option that consumes less energy. I’m sure those premium Samsung units generate a lot of heat, so they likely draw more power. For a solid choice, I usually opt for an affordable WD blue SN570, which offers reliability and better performance at a lower cost. It also stays cooler. Good luck!
