Steam Default Game Folder?
Steam Default Game Folder?
so on my son's computer I put Steam on an SSD, and I installed the games on a regular HDD. I bought him an MKX and all the DLCs for his birthday yesterday, installing them just like before. But for some reasons this game only takes forever to boot up, and for about 40 seconds after clicking the icon it says "not responding" in the task manager. Eventually it unfreezes and it starts up slowly. I think because it's on the HDD it's doing this. So I moved the "steam library" folder from the HDD to the SSD. Now the game is telling me to install it again as always, but whenever I try to point to the "downloads" folder at the folder I placed on the SSD, it says something about it already being there and it won't add to the list. (that's what Google suggested). I don’t remember it being this hard when I moved things around on my own PC. Since nothing is working, I’m trying to put the game files back into their original directory they would have been in if I had left Steam alone and let it download the games to its default folder on C. Can someone help me out? Thanks.
For reference, it is located in the SteamApps directory within the Steam root folder.
