Mw3 keeps mentioning there are 71 files that still fail verification after scanning and repairing. I've already tried clearing my Steam cache, fixing the game, re-downloading it, repairing the Steam library, reinstalling Steam, checking troubleshooting settings, and running chkdsk, dism, and sfc commands. I'm not sure if a clean Windows install is the only solution. Do you have other options?

Are these files meant to force the use of MW3 since checking if the game fixes itself could be a viable alternative?

I can keep playing the game, though it slows down a lot and keeps crashing. It keeps asking for repairs, but those files just get corrupted again. All my attempts to fix it haven’t worked.

The repair files issue is just one of the automatic responses the console gives. It doesn’t indicate any real problems with the files.
Check if similar problems exist in other games or environments on your PC.
If not, look for a dedicated discussion forum for the game to find shared solutions and advice.
Alternatively, you might want to try some troubleshooting steps to rule out PC-related issues.

Clear your download cache in Steam. The platform will prompt you to confirm and proceed.

I've already attempted that. Beyond gaming, I'm beginning to suspect a hardware issue. Could it be my RAM setup is unstable? I own two Corsair VENGEANCE RGB 32GB 5600MHz DDR5 cl40 units and two TEAMGROUP 32GB D5 6000 C30 units. This is my first build, and my friend said mixing them shouldn't cause problems—the 6000 would just run the 5600—but after further reading I think he might have been mistaken.

Yes, swapping one type of RAM for another or vice versa can affect stability. It is not advisable to combine different brands or models, especially on AMD systems.

How completely filled is your hard drive?
Is it in good condition?
Steam cache.
The main reasons I’ve discussed when game files disappear or fail to download are at least these:
At least one recent case involved a 8Tb hard drive failing. Serious Sam 4 would either play or not play, missing files everywhere. I fix the files and then restart everything.
I replaced the drive, and now it works fine. Does this match your problem? I’m just offering possible solutions.

It turned out it wasn't my RAM. I had to run the dism commands again, and it said "the store is repairable." After fixing it, everything worked properly. Thank you for all the assistance.
