I evaluated the situation and considered the options. The current setup involves using a kb/m or xb360 controller, streaming via desktop to a gaming laptop, and needing wireless AC for both. Since wiring isn’t possible right now, the main advantage would be displaying the link on the TV. Based on this, it seems the setup could still be worthwhile if the display benefit matters to you.

It's okay with AC WiFi; proceed if that's all you have to worry about.

It was just my main worry. I thought about using my laptop to watch videos, but it wouldn’t fit under the TV and I’d rather put it somewhere else. What’s your take on the Steam controller?

my steam controller looks quite unique and might take some time to adapt to. it’s straightforward to install and offers various control options for each game on steam. i haven’t tested it with titles outside of steam. you also have the freedom to personalize everything. the only drawback is that, aside from the completely different controls, it feels fairly affordable compared to the standard 360 controller. i’d suggest it if you enjoy trying new setups.
