Hey there, so I’m dealing with a pretty big issue with my Ryzen 7 3700X. For some reason, the CPU temperatures keep jumping up and down in short bursts (check the screenshot from Corsair iCUE below), even though the usage stays under 10% most of the time. My current configuration looks like this: CPU: R7 3700X (overclocked using Precision Boost Overdrive via AMD Ryzen Master), AIO: Corsair H150i Cappelix 360mm, Motherboard: X570 Aorus Elite, RAM: G.Skill Trident Z RGB 32GB 3200MHz CL16, Storage: several SSDs including a Samsung PM1A PCIe Gen.4 drive, GPU: Asus Dual GeForce RTX2060, Case: BeQuiet SilentBase 601, fans: 3x Corsair QL120 RGB. It doesn’t seem like the cooler is failing or the airflow is bad. Also, the H150i hasn’t been here long—so it’s not old. I noticed a process from the NVIDIA Driver called something like NVDLA.exe (not sure of the exact name) was consuming a lot of resources, so I stopped it manually with PowerShell, but it didn’t help. If anyone has any insights on why I’m getting 50°C to 55°C in idle with that setup, please share your thoughts. I’m pretty stuck right now. Cheers, Nightcore
These issues are typical at a 3700x resolution. Make sure your Nvidia GPU is active; verify that the NLVARA process isn’t running on the CPU, then remove the Nvidia Framework SDK package.
Normal? I'm not sure because with my Enermax Aquafusion 240mm AIO I used to see idle temps around 38-39°C, but only up to a certain limit. When I began checking my hardware more closely, I noticed the issue and replaced the AIO. (There were other reasons too, but this was one of them.) Also, about uninstalling the NVidia component: Are you referring to that one? If so, what does it do or for? Thanks in advance for your quick reply!
This process initiates NVLARA, which demands significant CPU resources and led to comparable temperature increases. The Frameview SDK serves exclusively the pre-installed benchmarking utilities for Nvidia, and since most users don’t need them, removing it won’t cause any issues.
