The issue isn't the riser cable; the slots I tested using it function properly. The Hyte y60 case only features half-height slots, which prevented me from placing the GPU directly into the motherboard if that was my goal.
It would only happen if the internal sections were separated from the enclosure, but they remain connected to various parts (standoffs, GPU bracket, IO shield, all ports). Have you verified that the wall outlet is properly wired and grounded? Contractors sometimes work sloppily and produce subpar results.
It’s fascinating how a Faraday cage works perfectly. No matter what you attempt, it blocks any electrical interference from reaching the inside. Power will simply flow to the ground through the PSU and remain harmless. This principle applies differently when dealing with external parts such as a Wi-Fi antenna.
