I purchased a budget USB capture card priced around fifteen dollars to record PS5 gameplay. It functions well for video capture, but the audio is problematic. I'm only receiving static with no sound. I'm unsure what's causing the issue or where it's coming from. The card defaults to a single channel, 16-bit, 96kHz format, and when I use OBS or other audio capture tools, the output remains static. Any suggestions would be helpful.

I resolved my own problem. For anyone facing this issue... adjust the audio settings on the PS5 by going to Audio > Audio Output > General > Audio Format (priority) and select Linear PCM.
