Hey there! I just assembled a PC using a mix of older and newer components. It functioned properly for a while, but then it crashed unexpectedly during an overnight power cycle. Now it won’t turn on at all. When I attempt to boot, the GPU lights up, the motherboard error indicator flickers and doesn’t stay steady. I also notice the fans reacting erratically—speeding up, slowing down, then accelerating again. At first, I thought it might be a power supply issue, but the PSU hasn’t shown any problems before. The parts list lists a Corsair CX550M (2017), ROG B450F motherboard (2020), Ryzen 5 3600XT CPU (2020), GTX 1060 GPU (2017), Corsair Vengeance RAM (8GB), and a WD M.2 SSD. The storage drive is named Messenger_creation_63FAED66-4960-4CA0-B58B-D3CC1702E42B.mp4.

I would take apart everything except the CPU and cooler, then put them back together with just the essentials outside the case on cardboard (for instance). I’d also make sure to reconnect all the cables from the power supply side carefully. Edited June 5, 2025 by leclod

I removed it and put it back, but that didn't make a difference. I'm also considering purchasing a new one to check if it improves things.

I only recall that I discovered the battery after placing the PC inside its case and using extra padding to safeguard the GPU. It wasn<|pad|>, which isn’t as straightforward as it seemed.
