Startup behavior for Windows 10 Volume 2 and Volume 6
Startup behavior for Windows 10 Volume 2 and Volume 6
Your second drive was originally your primary drive but has been replaced with a new one after a fresh Windows installation. When you turn on your PC, you can choose between Windows 10 Volume 2 or Volume 6. Volume 6 often causes a blue screen and error code, while Volume 2 boots normally. How can I remove Volume 6? According to the images below, your second drive doesn’t show Windows there, and your main drive only has one Windows folder.
I'm dealing with a similar issue with my older SSD that ran Windows 10. After wiping it, I feel like some bootloader remnants might still be there... Maybe a full reformat could help, but I don’t want to bother myself since it’s not crucial. Edit: There’s also the chance to remove it through msconfig in the Boot section if there are two options available. I haven’t tried that before, so I’m unsure what it will actually do.
