You had a functional system until you tried deleting some old files. Labview 2012 wasn’t available, but a program listed in the search asked for a disk. You couldn’t reach Safe Mode via F8, so you used MSConfig to set it as the boot option. Once in Safe Mode, the low-res Windows login screen appeared and you could start typing. After a few seconds, the system restarted, beeped, and loaded the files again.
