The usual approach is to locate the CMOS pins (again manually) and connect them with a screwdriver unless a jumper covers one. You might discard the jumper or reuse it—there’s a third pin, but it’s inactive. A screwdriver is just a conductive tool with a grip. An older technique involved removing the battery and leaving the board off; now it’s simply a switch. This also resets your BIOS to its default settings. Edited October 27, 2022 by Bombastinator
I've already reset it three times, but nothing changed. It seems like I might have to take out the entire battery, which will be tough.
Could it be something else? Does the CPU remain covered by its warranty?
I checked and confirmed I arrived around July, so it should still be valid.
