Enhanced Sync works efficiently at increased refresh rates. V-Sync was outdated for 60Hz displays.

Overall, it might be a temperature issue as well...

Yes, these cards might also experience power consumption problems. *whynotboth.gif*

this was the first thing I observed... it seemed like a solid concept, probably because the PSU came bundled with the case... okay. essentially, your PSU struggles to handle the load, and your GPU also has well-documented problems. though i think a higher-quality PSU could resolve those issues (except overheating, which requires an RMA since AMD hasn’t issued a recall yet).

The specific issues with Lian Li PSUs lie in their performance and reliability, which are not based on personal stories but on observable problems.

maybe it's not a big deal, but your problem fits what we've seen with certain power supplies in this setup. Even if it sounds a bit teasing, I still think it might be the PSU issue—especially since your GPU has been struggling with power consumption. Could you try setting a power cap for your card, like 70% or less using MSI Afterburner? That might help confirm the theory. If it stops crashing, it’s likely a power problem and the PSU probably can’t handle it. As I mentioned earlier, you should reach out to AMD for an RMA anyway. It might turn out that once the PSU and vapor chamber are fixed, you won’t need a new PSU. Either way, I’d go for that approach.

I purchased it from Microcenter, which means I can exchange it if needed. If the issue is clearly about needing a 1000w PSU despite the 850 recommendation, upgrading my power supply seems like a better option. Returning it would be unnecessary unless I prefer the Red Devil model, which is priced around 1100. Even then, opting for the 4080 might be worth it since nVidia and Intel generally perform well, even if I wanted a more all-AMD build.
