You can boot from a USB flash drive on your HP Chromebook 11 G3 using Windows, but you'll need to install the appropriate drivers or use a bootable Windows installation media.

ChromeBook Dev Tools supports this functionality. SeaBIOS doesn’t seem to permit USB booting without changes.

Most Chromebooks have strict rules about what they can and cannot boot from IIRC. If you enable developer mode and use SeaBIOS, it works. Otherwise, it doesn’t. I didn’t realize that before. I own a C7 model and it’s using SeaBIOS.
