They didn’t mention any storage being saved and didn’t identify it as a recovery, OEM, or EFI partition.

Usually large OEMs tend to be slow and reuse the same design across different sizes of HDDs. That’s why sometimes they leave unused empty partitions. Hope you’re in luck!

Sure, if it doesn’t work, you can simply perform a fresh installation using the USB drive you have.
