Here’s a concise list of the games you mentioned:
Far Cry 3, Crysis 1, Sleeping Dogs, Tomb Raider 2013, Hitman Absolution, Battlefield 4, Sim City, Metro 2033, Metro Last Light, Call Of Duty Black Ops 2, Mortal Kombat 9, Trine 1-2, Limbo, Alan Wake, Trials Fusion, Portal 2, The Witcher 2, Bioshock Infinite, Skyrim and more.
It varies based on your preferences. I tend to favor SP and MP titles. My top picks include Far Cry 3, Bioshock 1, Infinite, Dark Souls 2, Bastion, Borderlands 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Half Life 2 (including Episodes 1 and 2), Elder Scrolls 3-5, Mass Effect (especially 2), Portal 1 & 2, and I’m currently playing The Witcher 2, which I really like. For multiplayer, War of the Roses, Battlefield 4, and Titanfall are great. Let me know if this helps!
It really comes down to personal preference. Not everyone enjoys them, but for FPS titles you might consider Battlefield 4, Far Cry 3, Planetside 2 (it's free and doesn't feel overly focused on winning), or COD. For free MOBAs, try Dota 2, League of Legends, Heroes of Newerth, or Dead Island Epidemic (it was entertaining for a while). If you're interested in indie titles, explore humblebundle.com or check out VVVVVV, Thomas Was Alone, Conquest of Elysium 3, Sequence, Jamestown, or Faster Than Light. For RPGs, Dragon Age: Origins, the Mass Effect series, The Witcher series, or Bioshock (available on Steam sale often) are great picks. There are also strategy games like Starcraft 2, Command and Conquer, and Supreme Commander 2. I’m not very familiar with MMOs, but World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, and Guild Wars 2 seem solid options. Lastly, consider XCOM; Enemy Unknown, Amnesia: The Dark Descent (though I haven’t heard many people finish it), the Portal series, or Dead Space. Ultimately, pick what feels right for you.
Dragon Age and Mass Effect are both expansive series in their respective universes.
I downloaded Arma 2 and 3 after watching them on YouTube and Twitch. It was the best experience I've had. The hardest part was seeing servers that said no one could join because of missing permissions. As a beginner on PC, it's tough to figure out what to do. I suspect mods might be involved, but even after a few months, I haven't played many games. For someone new like me, I'd suggest simpler titles such as CS:GO, Battlefield 4, or Mass Effect. Just turn it on and play if you're unsure—no need to learn too much right away.
I'm really fond of the original Counter-Strike (1.6 era) since I can't locate anything older. For me, it was the first game I'd launch on any machine, spent around six hours with expert bots, and then moved on from there. But that's just my perspective.
Get Just Cause 2, its amazing to play, and the multiplayer is awesome too
