You don't need it. A regular Chromebook lacks the same specs as a standard laptop, which is why most users skip it unless they're very basic. It feels like a cheap Android tablet—worthless compared to what you get for the price. I thought about using it mainly for browsing and streaming, but realized its limits. A real laptop would cost more, and while ARM-compatible options exist, they offer few practical programs.
