I'm attempting to play Minecraft Java Edition on Realms with SEUS shaders and a few small mods. My specs are listed, and I've optimized for performance in GeForce. I've followed several tutorials on adjusting game settings and tried overclocking with EVGA Precision X1. So far, nothing has worked. When stationary, I'm around 40-70 FPS, but movement brings it down to low 20s to 30s—way too slow for a smooth experience. This is essentially unplayable. Could you help explain why I can't hit a steady 50-60 FPS? I've gathered as much info as possible and checked everything. If you think I should add anything else, please let me know. My brother uses an i7-4770K and a GTX 1060 3GB, achieving similar performance. The problem lies with the game and its shaderpack. SEUS PTGI stands out because it handles all lighting directly on the GPU, forcing maximum utilization and boosting frame rates. Checking Task Manager while shaders are active should reveal the real usage patterns. This isn’t a hardware limitation—it’s how Minecraft is designed. Also, Minecraft (and Java) is quite optimized; beyond screenshots, we can only tweak shaders minimally.
