I’ve purchased a Windows 11 laptop now. I understand it needs TPM 2.0 and secure boot, which are likely enabled by default. If I want to dual boot Pop OS as Linux alongside Windows 11, do I need to turn off or disable TPM? I also know secure boot isn’t supported, and I wonder if Windows 11 will still function without it.

Windows 11 is running smoothly on your Huawei MateBook D, even though you installed Manjaro. The original Windows version was likely Windows 10 at the time of installation.

I can verify the status, but I don’t have direct access to check secure boot settings on the device. Please consult the device’s documentation or settings menu for confirmation.

In this scenario, all your Windows 11 functionalities operate correctly, including features linked to secure boot such as Hello unlocking.

Also check if any functionality fails without secure boot enabled. Have you seen any methods to bypass or disable it?

I'm seeking advice since I need to decide between Ubuntu and Pop-OS for dual booting with Windows 11. Pop-OS seems ideal based on my requirements, especially with NVIDIA drivers on Linux, while Ubuntu offers secure boot support. Additionally, I want to confirm if BitLocker encryption is available, as some sources suggest it might require re-entering the key each time you boot if secure boot is off.

No encryption software installed on your laptop. You might try starting from Pop OS, and if that fails, boot into Ubuntu.
