this happens because your resolution is now operating at just 62% of its original specifications.
it isn't visible in settings since it automatically reduces from 1440p during gameplay.

I don't see a problem with companies releasing games like that. It gives people something to look forward to on new hardware. It can be used as a yardstick, the next Crysis.
The game is CPU bound on anything other than newest gen CPU.
And only the top range GPU can run it natively without upscaling

He is using a 4090. I am testing a 6700 XT on ultra at 1440p and achieving stable performance without any jitters or glitches. Regarding upscaling, FSR2 is enabled by default for AMD cards and can be disabled if needed. I wanted to verify whether a top-range GPU is necessary to run the game natively without FSR2 active. While exploring New Atlantis, my FPS decreased from around 45 to 33, especially when entering buildings via load screen. The game remained stable overall; however, visual quality dropped noticeably in lighting and shadows on ultra. Despite this, there were no interruptions or glitches. I’m uncertain about the discussions, as my system is mid-range and runs Starfield smoothly at 1440p with FSR2 enabled. Some creators on YouTube make exaggerated claims that don’t match my experience.

The situation I observe is a poorly optimized pricing and performance strategy in the game market that draws attention for creating hype among players. People expect the latest version to work smoothly across all devices, but in reality, most games only function properly on high-end systems. This issue is highlighted by recent videos and comments, showing ongoing problems with optimization. The approach used in some titles, like CB77, seems to prioritize immediate release over long-term compatibility.

At the same time, I recognize that many releases are less noticeable and perform better on more common hardware. It’s hard to imagine developers prioritizing such optimizations unless there’s a strong market incentive. If consumers are willing to invest in both the game and better hardware, it would benefit the industry overall.

It seems reasonable given that Fallout 76 was developed using the same engine as Fallout 4, even though the latter features a significantly larger world and requires more powerful tools to run smoothly. The developers evidently entered damage control for months following the initial release, which was met with a weak fan reaction. When they claimed they could easily create countless worlds in Starfield, it raised my doubts.

IS Starfield utilizing a new engine or remains the original one modified? Many critics are opting for Nvidia cards, leading to negative responses. The Nvidia aspect is problematic even if you enable ultra settings. If you play anyway, the issues should resolve once the fixes are applied.

I strongly suggest the dlss 3.5 update for anyone struggling to reach 60fps in New Atlantis. My laptop can't handle that performance on its own, and I only manage around 30fps with dlss 3.5, but it makes a huge difference.

Has anyone discovered the missing vessel Supremacy? This information appears when you access the same computer in the Echoes of the Past quest for Delgado while exploring Kryx's "Legacy" ship. The Supremacy is believed to hold more than 1 million credits, but my searches have only uncovered numerous Reddit discussions from people who haven't succeeded. It's rumored to be located in the Sol system near Saturn.
