Star Wars: The Old Republic remains captivating.
Joined the Jedi Covenant server again—Khranos, Level 44, Sith Marauder. This Star Wars game still delivers on its reputation with plenty of updates. I joined a 60-day free trial for $20 from g2a, which was a good deal. I’ve been playing for a while; I used to be at level 50 Sith and reset everything here because I didn’t remember where I left off on my old account.
You understand what a better game would be. Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic is definitely one of them. If you haven’t tried it yet, grab it now and enjoy it—among the top RPGs, it’s solid. SWtOR wasn’t terrible, but the story fell short, and the battles weren’t exciting. It’s just an average multiplayer game with a Star Wars twist.
I’m going to concur with Atmos about this—this game’s narrative and decision options were truly impressive, especially the darker paths available.
The old republic set the stage for the polished gameplay seen in Dragonage, while the campaign and narrative style in Mass Effect blend cleverness with a geeky vibe. On the other hand, the Old Republic isn't terrible, though it's not great either—similar to how ESO and LotRO feel.
I don't really enjoy SWTOR. The promotion was excessive, and it felt like they didn't focus deeply enough on the project.
I enjoy Guild Wars 2. I've heard Star Wars is decent but lacks substantial content.
