So, I was never really hyped for Battlefront, and I was VERY sceptical by the game but being the huge Star Wars fan that I am I decided to give Dice and EA the benefit of the doubt, so after 18+ hours Into the game heres my review IN PROGRESS . The game feels like a cinematic experience, you really feel like youre playing In the Iconic Star Wars battles from the original triliogy, and It offers you to play over several of the Iconic battles. Walker Assault Is the game mode that makes you feel like youre In Star Wars, an unstoppable wave of Imperials rush through the frozen tundras on Hoth as the Rebels desperately try to repel the ongoing siege. Wether your a soldier scouring the forests of Endor for prey, clashing sabers with another Hero, or raining death from above with a starfighter you really feel like youre part of something big and special, and you Instantly know that this Is Star Wars at It's best! But that doesent mean Its all a dance on roses either, while the first 15 hours you feel like youve never played Star Wars on such a level before, It gets repetetive. It feels like they focused too much on making the game like Star Wars and staying true to the movies, that they completely forgot about gameplay. Walker Assault and Supremacy are fun, but they offer the same experiences over and over, no new situations ever appear, It gets very repetetive. You have some smaller gamemodes like Hero hunt that are small and fun games to mess around on with friends, but beyond that, It feels like the game Is an empty shell. Starfighters are hard to control with a keyboard and mouse, and almost Impossible to turn around even If you slow the fighter down, turn DPI to 8200 and sensitivity to 100% It still feels like something Is missing. Hero's also need a buff, while they are fun to play, they arent hard to take down at all. The game feels like Star Wars, but Its nothing beyond that, In my opinion they focused too much on the aspect of Star Wars and forgot about actually forging an addictive game that offers new experiences every time you get online. My Rating: 7.2 / 10

It looks like you're concluding with a statement. Would you like to continue or refine what comes next?

The review strongly matches your thoughts, though the main concern is the cost. The price comes in at $80 CDN, which I think is closer to $30-$40.

Yup, basically what you said. Amazing looking game, however it's not worth the price tag at all. I would be willing to pay around €20-30 for this game, nothing more. It gets indeed repetitive, too much nade spam, only 11 guns with 0 customization, and only 4 freaking maps for large game modes. Like really dice, 4 maps?? It's kinda ridiculous and a huge disappointment to be honest, this game could have been so much more. It wouldn't surprise me if you won't hear anyone talk about the game anymore in 6 months, unless they can perform some sort of miracle and revive the game.

I share your thoughts completely. Although I purchased the title, it's incredibly enjoyable. I personally don't enjoy Battlefield 4—it feels aimless. This one, however, offers a great experience, especially for Star Wars enthusiasts. A few minor issues: the squad commander and Deathmatch modes feel underwhelming. They're fun but lack depth. The battles lack meaningful context. Other sections hint at Star Wars themes in objectives, yet it still reads more like a shooter with thematic skins. I support its release. Fighter Squadron stands out more (I’ll definitely revisit it despite Blast), because it offers a fresh twist. Still, static ISDs and Mon Cala exchanges seem underwhelming. Weapon variety isn’t impressive—only eleven options, and balance issues make some firearms difficult to use effectively. I prefer assault rifles; standard rifles put me at a disadvantage against LMGs and SMGs at close range. The T-21 feels outdated due to its slow reload rate, making it hard to hit targets. Also, the requirement for multiple shots to eliminate enemies is problematic—even with a surprise shot, a well-placed round can be fatal. I’m considering solo play since I don’t know others who enjoy this. Ultimately, I’ll try the 3-round burst assault rifle later and see how it performs mid-range. I also enjoy first-person viewpoints, but they put me at a significant disadvantage on maps like Endor, where enemies are expertly hidden. Overall, it pulls me back to Star Wars for the first time—feeling like a kid again.
