The message wasn't marked as open, and I hadn't checked it before sending. I assumed it was important enough to share with others in case they missed it. If I believed I was chosen, why would I post it for them to see?

I believe it functions similarly to other EA open betas like Battlefields 3 or 4, where the beta material shows up in Origin once it becomes available.
