I understand this response came later, but I still face the same problems after the cut scenes. Typically I wait about 10 seconds before it improves. I’m using 1080 ultra at 60 fps. It seems like the issue might be related to optimization.
Sometimes it starts normally but then freezes right away. It's frustrating because I can't play it in 4K on my current system, and even at 1080p with ultra settings it doesn't work.
Check if the game is running in DX11 or DX12. Based on my test with a Gigbyte RTX 2080Ti, it runs smoother on newer cards using DX12 instead of DX11.
Checked if Origin In-Game was turned off in the launcher options. Consider testing DX11 and DX12 to determine the best performance, following @Sam Flynn's advice.
I mentioned it, but I used DX12. When I got a warning about it being beta and possibly causing problems, I switched back to DX11.
