He’s experiencing problems with Star Citizen during Discord or Xbox party sessions. The microphone sounds robotic or cuts out, but switching tabs seems to restore it. We disabled Windows audio exclusivity settings and checked the game files, running both Discord and SC in admin mode. He doesn’t have a sound card installed. Here are some details about his PC: CPU i7-10700F, GPU RTX 2060, 32GB RAM at 3200MHz, and a Corsair HS80 wireless headset. If anyone has suggestions or needs more info, let me know.
Other titles have been tested on that device as well. We’re checking to confirm this is unique to Star Citizen. Many players focus on just one game, often building setups solely for that experience, which could mean the issue lies with the OS or hardware. If it’s only Star Citizen, it might not fully explain the problem since the game has some unconventional features. Additionally, the community size is relatively small, so you might encounter a bug that hasn’t been reported elsewhere. Have you checked dedicated Star Citizen forums?

Activity changes a lot across various platforms. It's usually nighttime in North America, which could bring more engagement when people start waking up. Things might get interesting as the community gets active. Keep in mind that things can sometimes go wrong because the platform is still evolving and beta testing continues.
