Standard setup directory
There isn’t a built-in feature to automatically adjust the installation paths for all apps, especially those that demand specific directories. Changing install locations manually can lead to conflicts and issues. If you want a cleaner setup, consider organizing your apps into standard folders like appdata/local/programs and managing them there. For more control, you might explore third-party tools or scripts that help streamline installations, though be cautious of compatibility risks.
Choosing the default installation spot for Windows is pretty straightforward. The only files you should keep separate are Steam, GamePass and related launcher data. If you switch PCs and need to transfer all games and files, it can be quicker than re-downloading unless you have a fast internet connection. If everything works fine, leave it as is! Why would you want apps in Program Files or ProgramData?
