2k+ works well at 720p, but 480p would appear poor unless the bitrate exceeds 1000.

Recording: I prefer 25-35Mbps streaming, but I'm struggling with 3~Mbps lately since my upload was around 2.8 (actually closer to 1.2). Even now, my speed drops significantly after an hour. #ScrewVirginMedia EDIT: That note was about 720P... 1280x720 equals 921600, so 3'000'000 divided by that is about 3.25 bits per second per pixel. Multiplying 480 by 854 gives 409920, then 409920 times 3.25 equals roughly 1'332 Kbps for 480p.
