My i5-9600K was operating at 5 GHz for nearly two years at a voltage of 1.335V. It became unstable suddenly, began crashing during OC benchmarks in OC settings. I attempted to downgrade the BIOS and performed a fresh Windows installation, but the issue persisted. Even when testing at 1.355V, OC instability continued at 5 GHz. The LLC frequency is set to auto, CPU current and cache limits are maximized, and the AVX negative offset is at 0. What should I do? Edit: Motherboard model is Asus ROG Z390-F

I recently adjusted my OC settings after updating to Windows 20H2. Increased voltage for vcore, VCCIO, and the system agent. Also, verify that your Intel ME drivers are current.

Previously I maintained 82-83°C at 1.33v. During testing at 1.35v the temperature stayed around 78°C. If conditions are acceptable, should I exceed 1.35v?

It looks like your system is cutting power limits, right? Consider turning off the power restriction.

All adjustments are set to maximum levels. Still no consistent performance. Could be silicon wear. Got any suggestions?

View your BIOS settings via screenshots or photos. It’s challenging to determine them without more info. Also, verify that your ME firmware/driver is current.

Oml.. Consider exploring some documentation in oc. For cpu power management, turn off TVB voltage optimizations. A few suggestions. You might prefer adaptive or offset instead of manual vcore. Lowering the CPU loadline calibration could help. If you need c-states active, set adaptive or offset vcore. It may be wiser to enable XMP and turn on TVB if you're not willing to adjust manually.

They likely released another microcode update through WinUpdate. My 3770K was quite responsive. I lost around 100Mhz from my peak speed, so if I previously required 1.175 for 4400, I’d need to switch to the vcore usually used for 4500, or run at 1.215v to keep that clock stable. The maximum VID was also increased twice. You might be experiencing something comparable.
