Determine the duration for performing the OCCT stability test or any stress test. Once the PC passes the OCCT, verify there are no issues with the specific component.

I no longer use Occt, I switch to R-23 for my stability checks. If they succeed on R-23, I’m confident it’s reliable. However, this comes after a complete test cycle. A brief 5-minute run helps me gauge performance. Others might suggest additional tests as well. I prefer using Occt only for older CPUs, as I feel it’s outdated for newer models.

For an i7 11700f, the optimal configuration for Prime95 should focus on balancing performance and stability. Use higher clock speeds and a stable power supply, while adjusting voltage and frequency settings according to your system's needs.

OCCT is now limited to just half an hour. It has improved noticeably in the past few years since Zen 3 was released. R23 serves more as a benchmark than a stress test. It performs poorly when it comes to stability and high temperatures, so I wouldn't rely on it for those purposes.

I thought occt was outdated and hadn't received any updates. It's nice to realize this. I had the wrong idea about R-23 then. This information is helpful for me too, thanks freegent. Probably because I watched too much on YouTube and started believing it would work. Good info overall.

Prime95 and Cinebench 23 don’t cause the CPU to overheat like OCCT Stability does. I can’t confirm Cinebench R23 since it isn’t running on my main system. OCCT receives frequent updates, though the older release supporting over 30 minutes is quite outdated—version 6.0.0 is it.
