SSD vanishes from file explorer and disk management tools
I've faced this odd problem with my new WD blue internal 1TB SSD recently. It seems to vanish at random times—sometimes it shows up in Explorer and Disk Management, then disappears after a few minutes or hours. Recently, after a power cycle, it would reappear briefly before vanishing entirely. When I checked Disk Management, it still listed as a 250GB drive needing formatting. I tried formatting again, which worked, but it took about ten minutes before it swapped back to the 1TB SSD that required partitioning. After creating a new partition, it appeared in File Explorer and wiped everything, which was fine since only a few games were there. Right now, I'm reinstalling the files from before, and downloads keep freezing unexpectedly. I'm unsure if the drive arrived faulty or if the SATA cable is faulty or power issues exist. Any advice would be appreciated.
