I have now refreshed all drivers from their manufacturer sites. I took out the Wi-Fi card and the sound card since it’s possible PCIe lanes were involved, possibly due to the GPU being too powerful for the CPU, motherboard, and power supply unit. Now I’m left with just the GPU, SSD, and two HDDs, along with the CPU and memory. I didn’t update the BIOS because of all the warnings I’ve heard, and I’m not very experienced yet, so I’m holding off unless something breaks. I ran memtest86 through all four passes, which took about ten hours and found no errors, so it’s unclear if that was helpful or not. My next step is to just use the PC and see how it performs.

It has been several days without any issues, so I think it's safe to say the driver installation from the manufacturers went well. Thanks for your assistance!

This resolved the issue for you? I just made an HDD to SSD swap in an Inspiron Tower, Dell, and it stopped freezing while disk usage hit 100%. I've checked bios updates, SATA drivers, power settings in regedit, changed cables, and ports.
