Hello, I’m facing a specific issue with my secondary SATA SSD. I use an M.2 SSD as a boot drive and a traditional SATA SSD for general storage (mainly for Steam games and some files). When downloading large files from Steam over 10GB, the download halts abruptly around the 50% mark, while the same files work fine on the M.2 SSD. Everything under roughly 10GB runs smoothly. I’ve updated all drivers and fixed most other problems, but this issue continues across different platforms like the Valorant launcher. I’m on Windows 11. Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! P.S.—I have a basic understanding of computers and apologize if I missed anything important.

Hello, this might actually be my issue right from the start… it looks like a standard listing from eBay. On the product page it mentions it as a “Heoriady,” but there’s no logo on the SSD itself.

It could easily be true. The possibility exists that the drive lacks DRAM cache entirely, relying on inexpensive cells that fail to maintain performance as data is loaded, ultimately causing failure. This has happened often with generic AF drives that don’t justify their existence.
