It seems late-July is approaching for the 3.0 release? Do you think it will be completed by the end of next year? With over 300 developers involved, they should manage it, wouldn't you think?
Late June for PTU, release planned for July. Squadron 42 is getting final touches and I believe they’re resolving problems with AI navigation. I think Squad42 is nearly there, but CR wants everything up to par. More team members don’t help much; the network was interrupted or delayed (probably due to one person being sick), and the level designer for Star Marine has also left. Someone will need to take over their work. I’m hoping PTU aligns with my holiday so I can enjoy a week of play before most people.
3.0 remains valid with the new NetCode, though. The main issue is that using it causes significant FPS drops even when logged in. My setup isn’t powerful enough for smooth 40-50 FPS, but it should still work without too many interruptions.
They seem more likely to default before the year arrives. The second loan was just submitted.
I understand your concerns about the situation. Derek, we know you're not happy with SC. The loan is beneficial for the company—it helps maintain stability, gives them a chance to launch SQ42, and if needed, allows them to invest freely without disrupting regular spending. People and businesses take out loans even with extra funds, so this isn't a problem.
Despite strong opposition, if even a portion of his content is credible, supporters should demand clearer updates on delays or misuse of funds. What could go wrong if he finally delivers on his commitments since 2012? Full openness about financial reports is essential. It seems people like him often struggle with rationalizing purchases after the fact. The concern is real, especially given the large investment of 153 million.
