Hello everyone,

I've noticed a recurring BSoD message approximately three minutes after logging in to my Windows 10. I've tried several steps to identify the cause:

- Performing a full format of my main SSD with Windows installed and reinstalling a clean Windows 10.
- Repeating the process with Windows 11.
- Checking for hardware problems, such as replacing the power supply unit with a more robust one.
- Running an SSD health check with read/write counters; both SSDs showed normal readings.
- Confirming that no overheating issues were detected by Aida64.
- Switching between the two SSDs in BIOS; the first one reappeared and became functional again, but only after a short delay post-login.

I tried browsing from the second SSD (Ubuntu) on my Windows machine, which worked smoothly. I also ran "disk benchmark" via Ubuntu, and the second SSD performed well while the first SSD crashed intermittently.

I'm unsure what's happening. I expected the SSD to stop working once it failed, but sometimes it still functions briefly before failing. How can I be certain that my first SSD is truly dead?

Please let me know if you have any advice.

Best,

Thank you for the suggestion! It seems my BIOS is current, but it appears the SSD is damaged.

Hopefully the SSD is covered under warranty and you have a backup of the data.
