Hello, welcome! I hope this subject is appropriate. If not, please let me know. I recently changed to a more affordable ISP, expecting similar performance, so I assumed things would work just like before and save money. However, my ping has increased significantly—now reaching up to 2500ms—which is acceptable for streaming and browsing but problematic for online gaming. My plan is to set up a mobile hotspot specifically for gaming, as it currently shows much lower latency (around 80ms or 50ms on average). I’d also like to keep using my Ethernet connection for general tasks like watching YouTube or Twitch. This setup seems feasible even on a single computer. Thank you ahead!

Switch off Ethernet or Wi-Fi when needed and activate the alternative.
