Yes, there are ways to prevent the splash screen during boot. You can adjust system settings or use software tools to disable it.

Whoops that's launching directly to the desktop rather than the start menu, not skipping the splash screen. Sorry about that. This might be possible.

Do you mean the lock screen? To turn it off: Open the registry editor (Start > type: regedit > select it). In the registry editor, go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Personalization. You'll see a "NoLockScreen" entry on the main pane. Double-click it and change its value to 1. Restart your system and it should work.
