Spin at maximum speed for a while (no beeping, no display)
I own an HP 8300 MT equipped with the Q77 chipset, which can run 2nd and 3rd gen Intel chips. It boots sometimes correctly, other times completely fails. The power supply is functioning well, as are the components (verified). It might be a hardware problem on the board, though this has happened across four identical motherboards from the same model—HP 8300/6300. Is there a problem with HP or the Q77 chipset?
