I frequently encounter performance drops across all games, regardless of age or platform. Most applications maintain CPU and GPU usage between 40% to 70%. There’s no sign of overheating and drivers appear current, making it hard to identify the cause. I play every title with V-Sync enabled at 75 frames locked. Additionally, a 3D mark speedway test yielded a score of 3800, matching typical results. My system includes an R7 processor, Radeon 6800X GPU, 16GB RAM, 3200MB DDR4, and a 2TB NVMe SSD.

Have you just swapped in a new GPU with the 6800xt? Did you remove the previous driver packages before adding the 6800xt drivers? If not, consider using DDU (refer to the helpful software discussion) to clear all graphics drivers and then reinstall them normally.

Recent updates are available. New chipset drivers for AMD have been released. Performance is being tested at 1080p resolution. Be aware that the 2700X limits the 6800XT, and intense bottlenecks can lead to noticeable frame delays.

I performed a new Windows setup after upgrading to the 6800xt and added the drivers from amd adrenaline. I plan to test DDU. My BIOS is updated on the motherboard. I'm running at 1080p. I’m aware of the 2700x limitations, but when playing Battlefield 2042 my frame rate stays between 20-60. Watching a benchmark for 2700x shows a rate of 65 to 100.
