Hello there everyone! So I'm facing a bit of an issue in wow atm, especially in raids where my game starts laggin with CPU and GPU usage <60%. Here is a gif presneting my problem, I know that wow isn't the best optimized game but it should be able to utilise all 4 cores and they all run on turbo speed for the whole fights in raids. Specs: i5-7300HQ, 16GB Ram @ 2133Hz and a GTX 1060 MaxQ

WoW can take advantage of several cores, yet they're not always used evenly. A single core might be fully utilized while others remain idle. This behavior might stem from an addon.

A CPU slowdown can occur even when the processor isn’t fully utilized. This is typical during raids. Turning off the interface may provide some relief, though it’s not ideal for competitive play.

Yes, it's mainly due to the limited optimization of the World of Warcraft engine.

It's not just poor optimization—it's a limitation of the engine itself. A 14+ year-old system designed for single-core CPUs struggles when paired with MMO gameplay, especially in areas with many players interacting. It makes sense that problems emerged during raiding sessions. But this isn't unique to you; others have noticed similar issues. Your setup isn't broken.
