Spending the day with The Crew (Beta) was quite an experience.
Despite being in the same neighborhood (Portadown), we all have varied views. When my computer is set up, I plan to try it out—it looks like something fun I’ll enjoy.
It seems the game only supports up to 30 frames per second. I didn’t see any performance dropping that low, so I increased the settings to Ultra. Played it two days ago and found it still very enjoyable.
Because the human eye can only perceive up to 30 frames per second, that fact still stands. However, it highlights that frame rate isn't as crucial as commonly believed. A 60 FPS is pleasant, but 30 FPS is definitely playable and enjoyable.
The maximum of 30 FPS will be adjustable when the game is released, giving you both 30 and 60 options. "This 30 FPS limit is only for the Beta version. The game will run at 1080p with 30 frames per second on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Xbox 360. For the PC edition, we plan to let players choose between 60 or 30 frames per second."
