I switched to MSI MB recently and used SpeedFan without issues on my old ASUS MB. It doesn’t detect the fans on my new MSI MB. Any suggestions on how to make it recognize them? z97s sli krait edition with the latest BIOS. SpeedFan shows temperatures but not fan speeds or details.

No its a new model, and there is no ways that only 1 MSI board out of all the 1150 socket MB (thats all the H87, Z87, H97 and z97 motherboards) works with speedfan And my Previous Asus MB isnt on the Asus list but it worked with no problems.

Confirm Speedfan isn't picking up any fan data at all? Verify the configuration files and the fans section under the over fans tab—look for any RPM readings. If none appear, it’s likely a re-install is needed, which is unusual since Speedfan doesn’t normally detect anything. After uninstalling and reinstalling, always restart your system.

I installed the beta 4.51 and everything functioned correctly. Now I'm starting tests to verify it operates properly.

Everything appears to be functioning properly. Adjust the desired temperatures, custom speed graphs, and maximum/minimum speeds. The system is ready for startup. I’m pleased I can’t manage the CPU fan directly, though it’s the only three-pin fan I have. It will be replaced with a four-pin model next week, so I’ll test it then.

It's good to hear it's functioning properly. I understand some Asus MB models, including my own, can manage 3-pin fans using voltage on the chassis fan connectors. Please let us know how everything works after upgrading to a 4-pin PWM fan!
