Updated the chipset driver to resolve the Ethernet issue. The mouse and keyboard problems remain unresolved. I can wake the PC from sleep using the keyboard, but the mouse doesn’t respond at all, and even when it does, I can’t type or move the cursor.

Verify the BIOS configuration to ensure the kb/mouse can activate the system. They may appear unresponsive but could be triggered with a test.

It's not a significant delay, just much slower than Windows 8. Perhaps the issue lies with Windows 8 itself, but it shouldn't feel so different.

Be aware this applies only when Fast Boot is turned on. Many aftermarket systems have it disabled in UEFI, causing Windows 8.1 to shut down and restart each time. On my setup, I don’t use Fast Boot, so it boots cold every time I power it up. The load time from the BIOS screen to a fully functional desktop stays under eight seconds.

You could disable the boot logo using msconfig, which would slightly improve my startup speeds on 7. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
